Baby In Bloom Smash Cake For A First Birthday

There’s something so special about celebrating a first birthday, and we wanted ours to feel simple, sweet, and full of those little moments we’d remember.

We had the sweetest Baby In Bloom theme, and our cake baker created the most beautiful floral smash cake. Pastel gradient colors, delicate flowers, and all those thoughtful little details. It was everything we had hoped for.

Then came the drive home.

Somewhere along the way, the cake took a tiny tumble and tipped just enough to lose a bit of its perfect shape. For a second, we thought oh no… but then we laughed.

Because honestly, it didn’t matter.

This cake was always meant to be smashed.

And that’s exactly what happened. Our little one went right in, hands first, frosting everywhere, completely unbothered by whether it looked perfect or not.

If anything, the little imperfection made it even more memorable.

It was messy, joyful, and exactly what a first birthday we had hoped it would be.
