Creative Watermelon Fruit Salad (Flowers & Bunnies)
This Creative Watermelon Fruit Salad is inspired by springtime flowers and cute little bunnies! It's absolutley perfect for Easter, spring parties, or just a cheerful snack any time of day!
With cute bunny and flower shaped watermelon pieces, juicy blueberries, and a sweet honey lemon dressing, this salad is as tasty as it is beautiful.
Plus, bonus points since it's kid approved and makes a refreshing side for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
I love serving this salad at Easter parties, spring picnics and for the kids play dates in the spring.
It's great because it's healthy, hydrating and so refreshing in the warmer months. We simply love watermelon in our house. Its also a wonderfully versatile snack!
Watermelon is amazing because you can cut it into so many fun shapes, sizes or cubes.
You dont even need a lot of skills for this, just a good ol’ fashioned cookie cutter can get the job done.
My toddler helped me make this salad. She was so thrilled to have bunny & flower shaped watermelon!
While she cut out the little shapes she sang the whole time “fruit salad, yummy, yummy!”
Ingredients

1 small watermelon, cut into bunny and flower shapes

1 cup fresh blueberries

2 tablespoons honey

Juice of 1 lemon
How to Make It

Cut the Watermelon: Slice your watermelon into ½-inch thick pieces. Use small bunny and flower-shaped cookie cutters to create fun shapes.

Mix with Blueberries: Toss the watermelon shapes with fresh blueberries in a large bowl.

Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and lemon juice until smooth.

Drizzle & Toss: Pour the dressing over the fruit and gently toss to coat everything evenly.

Chill & Serve: Let the salad sit in the fridge for about 10 minutes to enhance the flavors, then serve and enjoy!
