RMS Clean Makeup Review: Here’s What Surprised Me Most
If you’ve ever gone down the rabbit hole of trying to find clean makeup that actually works, you know how exciting it is when you finally find something you love.
That’s exactly what happened to me with RMS Beauty.
I didn’t plan on falling into a full on love story with this brand, but here we are. I started with one product, and now I’m already planning my next order.

It all started with a simple goal for me to find a clean mascara that actually works. I was so tiered of my past mascaras taking so many of my precious eyelashes along with the mascara! IYKYK
After trying a few that didn’t quite hit the mark, I came across RMS and decided to give it a shot. And honestly… I was hooked right away.
The Straight Up Volumizing Peptide Mascara
The Straight Up Volumizing Peptide Mascara is what started it all for me.
The first thing I noticed when trying this mascara is that it’s a little more on the “wet” side compared to other mascaras I’ve used before, but in a good way. It glides on so easily, doesn’t clump, and makes my lashes look soft, fluffy, and full.
It’s one of those mascaras that gives you that effortless and natural look I love.
I’ve been pairing it with a primer from PUR Minerals since RMS doesn’t have a primer, and the combo is actually so good. It adds just a little extra lift and length!
Removal of the mascara
I just wanted to mention this since I don't usually hear about removals in reviews but it is important to talk about.
When I am ready to remove the mascara, it does come off easily. I just use a little olive oil on a cotton round to wipe my eyelashes first, then rinse with warm water, and follow with a gentle cleanser. So far so good as I haven't lost any precious eyelashes!
I already know I’ll be repurchasing this one when I run out since It’s officially my everyday mascara now.
Legendary Lip Oil in Lucia
Next up is the Legendary Lip Oil in the shade Lucia. This one is such a pleasant surprise.
It goes on super smooth and lightweight, and I love that it’s buildable depending on how much you want. But my FAVORITE PART is that It’s not sticky at all. Like… at all! Yay!
It just leaves your lips feeling hydrated with a really pretty, natural shine.
The only tiny thing I noticed is the applicator feels a little chunky to me, and I don't care for the applicator, but honestly, I feel that way about a lot of gloss applicators. I prefer a smaller applicator. It doesn’t take away from how much I enjoy the actual lip gloss!
So far I am loving the Lucia shade and I’m already eyeing a few more shades to try next:
And I’m planning to order the Adrianna Lip Oil for my daughter, which is actually a clear shimmer. I think she will love it! And for me, I love that its a clean low tox lip gloss! I have a feeling it’s going to be such a fun, easy everyday option.
Eye Polish in Myth
The Eye Polish in Myth might be my favorite surprise out of all three.
It’s creamy, easy to apply, and gives the prettiest soft glow to the eyes.
The shade Myth is this beautiful minky taupe that just looks natural and so nice. It’s subtle but still adds dimension, and you can build it up if you want a little more.
I especially love that it doesn’t settle into fine lines and just smooths right over the eyelid.
It’s one of those products you can swipe on quickly and still feel put together.
I’m already planning to try Lunar next, especially to layer on the brow bone with Myth. I think that combo is going to be so pretty.
A Little Extra Love for Sustainability
Another thing I really appreciate is that RMS offers refillable packaging options.
It’s such a thoughtful touch, especially if you’re trying to be more mindful about zero waste without giving up makeup products you love.
What Surprised Me Most About RMS Clean Makeup
If I had to sum it up, what surprised me most is that clean makeup can actually perform like and in some cases better than traditional makeup without feeling like a compromise.
I went in expecting to just “like it enough” because it’s clean, but what I didn’t expect was how much I genuinely prefer using these products.
Conclusion
I’m really glad I gave RMS Beauty a try.
Everything I’ve used so far feels really nice, natural and gives off that healthy glow I look for in makeup. I love the mascara and thats what initially drew me to the brand. These clean beauty items are now just a few staples in my makeup routine and I just wanted to share them with you. I still want to try so many more things from RMS!
